Develop a brand from scratch as a group, in any industry of the group's choosing.
WHAT IS PROCAFFIENATION?
ProCaffieNation is a Sacramento co-working place and coffee shop built for creatives. We strive to be an inspirational, fun, casual, and social atmosphere for all creatives. A place for them to inspire others while being inspired themselves. This is the birthplace of new ideas and projects to come. The coffees and teas give our procaffienators a casual place to create and collaborate with like minded folks.
MISSION
At ProcaffieNation, we’ve created a welcoming environment for collaboration, connection, and if one so desires — success.
Our mission is to guide digital creatives to interface so they may have the opportunity to teach and learn from each other; to build mutually beneficial relationships through casual networking. Creatives of all disciplines are invited to come together (as a small nation, get it?) to share ideas with hopes to strengthen the power of art and design in our community. We recognize Sacramento’s one-of-a-kind community needs an alternative option for creative coworking. We’ve aimed to foster this special community by helping creatives of all levels (from the casual T-shirt artist to the most hardcore motion graphics designer) hone their craft through the aforementioned networking but also via affordable workshops and pay-as-you-go options to assist with how to turn their work into a profit. We help them manage the things that no creative wants to deal with, like back-end accounting, drafting contracts, or navigating lawsuits. We are here to make freelancing simpler. In effect, we’re helping to free-up time for passion and fulfillment.
Speaking of time, did we mention we are open 24/7? Night owls rejoice. This is a friendly collaborative environment afterall. We, like all of our offerings, will leave that option open for them to decide on.
PROCESS
Together with three other designers in a group. I helped out designed some of the icons, designed a specific page of the brand book, and sketched out one of our leave behind buttons. My contribution to the group included two tea package designs with tea sleeves and tags, a section of the video and editing the brand promo video.
Design Skills: design layout and principles, typography, type treatment, grid and systematic layouts, color theory, pantone color bridge coated (PMS), print production, constructing video and editing video, and crafting.
Adobe CC Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects.
Equipment: Canon DSLR cameras or any DSLR cameras for photos and videos.
