OBJECTIVE
Design a series of 11x17in. gig posters for an assigned band for every two weeks. Concepts must be representative of the band, their music, or their style.
PROCESS
For each band, I did research on their biography, lyrics of their songs, and their music style. Chet Faker was one of the poster that was assigned as a black and white color. His genre of music are soul music and trip hop. My concept for his band is an illustration of a huge cd melting that represent his music style. My concept of The Pixies poster is an illustration of a scale size zombie with bright colors that represent their band style and music style. Charles Bradley poster was inspired by the Funk music era that symbolized the microphone and the color scheme as well as the typeface. Gary Clark Jr. was inspired by the soul music era and my concept was Harlem and urban city street that represent texture. The colors represent cool colors.
